Magherafelt Resource Centre and Workshop

The Magherafelt service provides a range of therapeutic activities for individuals, over the age of 18, living independently or in supported housing in the local community.

What we do

The centre aims to promote recovery, empowerment, independence, social belonging and social inclusion through facilitating group work activities including woodwork, furniture restoration, painting, personal development, leisure activities and daily living skills. The Magherafelt service also supports the carers and families of those affects by mental illness.

Activities we offer

We offer woodwork, pool, darts, cooking, arts and crafts, guitar lessons, walking groups and drop-in. We also offer support groups. Recovery awareness is implemented to our monthly timetables.

We also encourage and support activities via our community programmes which include; gym groups, swimming groups, luncheon club, golf, seasonal fishing trips and various other outings.
