HOMELESS SUPPORT WORKER

 

Location: Inverary House, Belfast

Hours: 2x 24 hours per week

Duration: Permanent

Starting Salary: £16,785.92

Closing date: 12 noon, Thursday 3rd September 2026

The purpose of the Homeless Support Worker role at Inverary House is to provide person-centred housing-related support to individuals experiencing homelessness who are referred by the Northern Ireland Housing Executive. The role supports clients with low to medium support needs to prepare for, secure and sustain permanent accommodation by developing independent living skills, managing tenancy readiness, budgeting, self-care and engagement with statutory, community and voluntary services.

 

What we ask for from you:

  • Level 2 Essential Skills in Maths and English or GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English.
  • Able to demonstrate a minimum of 3 to 6 months recent experience (in a paid position), providing support to individuals experiencing homelessness
  • To be willing to work various shifts which may include days, nights, evenings, and weekends
  • To be willing to partake in an on-call rota
  • NISCC Registration or eligible to be registered from commencement of role.
  • Ability to demonstrate alignment with MindWise’s core values of Passion, Respect, Empathy, Togetherness, Openness & Transparency.
