Role: Sessional Counsellor / Therapist to deliver CBT and/or Integrative counselling

Location: Regional specifically Belfast, North Down & Ards

Type of Contract: Associate, Self Employed

Rate per Session: Minimum of £28.64 per session delivered

The role involves:

  • 1:1, Direct work with Clients
  • Case Load Management including reporting mechanisms
  • Operating within the guiding framework of MindWise’s Talking Therapies Operational Manual

Key objectives for the post:

To realise the clients’ potential to lead a fulfilling life in the presence or absence of a mental health or wellbeing challenge by:

  • Identifying and supporting the mental health and well-being needs of clients through Counselling/ CBT or in tandem with other therapies.
  • Working from a holistic approach
  • Supporting recovery and discovery
  • Forming an effective working alliance

Essential Requirements for Consideration:

  • To be a professionally qualified Counsellor or CBT therapist. To hold registered (working towards accreditation) or accredited status with governing bodies such as the BACP, BABCP, IACP, BPC, NCS, UKCP or EMCC.
  • Evidence of completing training relating to Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults within the last 2 years
  • 2 years’ post qualification experience and practice of directly working with a range of clients who have a mental health/wellbeing challenge. (Minimum 150 supervised hours)
  • Evidence of Continued professional development
  • Demonstrate your knowledge of the Step Care Model
  • Knowledge of clinical outcome measurement tools i.e. CoreNet (and be willing to complete proficiency training on CoreNet).
  • Be able to drive or have access to transport and willing to work within trust areas providing one to one support, once Face to Face resumes
  • To have, or be in the process of obtaining, Professional Indemnity Insurance to the level of £5million
  • To have, or be in the process of obtaining, Public Liability Insurance to the level of £10million

 

Proof of current registration, insurance and training will be required before commencement of any sessional work.

The successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced NI check with Barred check list.
