We're looking for an Advocate in the South Eastern Trust Area

Location:  South Eastern Trust Region: Covering Downpatrick area also available for Ards /Lisburn/ Belfast. Based at the Downshire Hospital and Co. Down area

Hours: 18 hours

Salary: £12,588 - £13,637.28 (Grade 3)

Starting Salary: £12,588

Duration: Permanent

 To empower and support people to make informed decisions, empowering them to act for themselves with regards to their care, treatment and identify the choices available to them.

What we ask for from you:

  • Level 3 Certificate or Diploma in Independent Advocacy, or equivalent (for example NVQ Level 3 in Advice and Guidance).

OR

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the last 5 years working in an Advocacy role and willing to complete the L4 Independent Advocacy practice qualification within a reasonable period of time.

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the last 5 years providing either one to one support, advocacy, advice, and guidance, in a professional or personal capacity
  • Able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills relevant to the role of an Advocate
  • Hold a current driving licence and access to a car is essential as this role may require the Advocate to travel regionally. Consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a licence
