MindWise is a membership led charity and our members have a real ‘voice’ in terms of having their say about what are charity does and the types of campaigning and lobbying issues we become involved in. Anyone can become a member of MindWise, many of our members do have direct experience of mental illness, others join though because they see mental illness as an important social issue that affects everyone and they want to help.

Our current membership consists of:

• Those directly affected by severe mental illness and other mental health difficulties
• Friends, carers and family members
• Healthcare professionals
• The general public

You can either sign up to become a Member or and Associate Members (Associate Membership is for MindWise staff and Corporate Partners). As a member you will be showing your commitment to helping MindWise make a real difference to the lives of all those in Northern Ireland affected by mental illness.

As a member you will enjoy many benefits including:

• A free quarterly supporter magazine
• A free MindWise supporter badge
• The opportunity to participate in lobbying and campaigning activities
• A free copy of the MindWise annual report and accounts
• The ability to attend and vote at the MindWise Annual General Meeting (please note Associate Members do not have voting rights).

Our suggested annual membership fees are £15 (waged) £5 (unwaged) and £100 (corporate members) however we do not want the issue of affordability to stop anyone from participating so just give what you can. We also offering the option of a one off ‘lifetime’ membership fee of £150 which will allow you to be a member of MindWise for as long as you wish to remain so.
