Mental health charity, Rethink, launches as MindWise, an independent charity for Northern Ireland. The Northern Ireland region of Rethink, one of the UK’s leading mental health charities, devolved as of 1st April 2009 to become a new and separate local charity called MindWise. MindWise is a membership charity which works to support those at risk of, and affected by severe mental illness and other mental health difficulties. As a locally focused charity, MindWise will be better able to respond to changing local needs and to tailor the development of its services to best meet the specific health and cultural context of Northern Ireland. |
